Made entirely of oak, the Bow Chair is comfortable, visually pleasing and brimming with character. The moulded plywood seat is unusually wide in proportion to its depth and a waterfall edge at the front softens contact with the hamstrings.
The Bow Chair’s seamless and elegant design conceals its ingenious modularity, allowing it to be delivered as individual components for easy assembly by the customer. This approach allows the chair to be packed efficiently for transport while keeping assembly simple and intuitive. Unique tailored construction
Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
We believe Bow Chair epitomises TAKT’s philosophy — it’s simple to assemble, economical to produce, and cleverly combines industrial and craft expertise to minimise waste.

Bow Chair is designed according to TAKT’s Eco System Design Principles and shipped as separate components in a flat pack.
Bow Chair is certified with the EU Ecolabel and produced using wood from FSC™-certified forests. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) works to promote responsible forestry worldwide.
Bow Chair is designed for disassembly, making individual parts easier to identify and replace when needed. For spare parts, visit our Spare Parts page and contact our TAKT Support Team with your request.
