Meet Co-Founder & Lead Interior Designer at ROtation, Pernille Normann Rindom.
TAKT met Pernille at ROtation’s vibrant and colorful headquarters, that used to be an old unused space, that were nothing but concrete walls when they decided to transform the space into their office.
What is a brand architect at ROtation?
Pernille: “As brand architects, our focus is to create a connection between the companies we work with, their brand and their physical space. This involves conveying the company’s values and DNA into the space.”
How is the process around this?
Pernille: “For us, the process begins with a significant amount of preliminary work, analyzing the company to understand who they are, what their needs are and what they want to achieve with their interior design. Once this analysis is complete, it’s about identifying the values the company stands for and unfold these in the interior design, for instance selecting furniture that reflects those values.”
Can you give an example?
Pernille: “For instance, if sustainability is a value, as it is for many companies, we ensure to chose materials and furniture that reflects those values – TAKT is a really good example of this, where the values resonates with them. It’s also crucial for us to choose timeless furniture with a long lifespan. We look for pieces that are classic in their expression, not just trendy items that will quickly go out of style.”
Why is timelessness important?
Pernille: “A classic design, made from materials people can relate to, often comes with a great story. This ensures the furniture not only aligns with the company’s values but also has longevity, both in function and aesthetic appeal.”
