We caught up with interior stylist Josefine Hedemann to explore her personal sense of home — and how she knew Cross Table was the right fit for her space. Here’s a short look into her thoughts…

What makes a home, to you?

“A home should feel like a reflection of the people who live there. For me, it’s about warmth, light, and personality — a place that feels welcoming and alive. I like when you can sense that things have been collected over time; furniture, colours, and textiles that tell small stories. It doesn’t have to be perfect — in fact, I love when a space shows traces of life.”

How does furniture shape the way you live?

“Furniture creates rhythm in a home. It decides how you gather, how you move, and how you rest. For us, with three children, everything has to work in everyday life but still be beautiful to look at. I like furniture that invites you to use it — not pieces that feel too delicate or staged. When something is made well and designed with intention, you naturally treat it with care, and it becomes part of your daily rituals.”

What has influenced your personal style?

“I’m very inspired by Scandinavian design — its simplicity and honesty — but I always like to mix it with something unexpected. I have a soft spot for 60s and 70s Italian interiors, with their warmth and playfulness. Colours also play a big role for me: muted greens, orange and red accents that bring warmth to the space, soft yellow tones. They bring depth and energy without taking over.”

How did you know TAKT was the right fit for your space?

“I’ve admired TAKT for their sustainable mindset and the honesty in their design language. There’s a clear respect for materials and craftsmanship, and I really connect with that. I want the things in my home to be made thoughtfully — both aesthetically, practically and made to last.”

What made you decide to bring Cross Table into your home?

“The Cross Table has the right balance of simplicity and presence. In my home, it isn’t used as a dining table but as a creative workspace. I appreciate the table for its simplicity and chose it because of the classic materials — wood and linoleum. It grounds the room in a calm way, allowing everything else — the light, the colours — to come to life around it.”
