Sustainability
Forma Chair is designed through TAKT’s Eco System Design principles ensuring a responsible approach to materials, production, and longevity. The chair is produced using wood from FSC®-certified forests, supporting sustainable forestry and traceable sourcing. Forma Chair is certified with the EU Ecolabel, meeting strict environmental standards throughout its entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction to production, durability, and end-of-life considerations.
Designed for long-term use, Forma Chair allows for replacement of seat upholstery, extending the product’s lifespan and reducing waste. Gliders can also be easily replaced to maintain stability and performance over time.
Forma Chair comes with a five-year warranty.
One chair, four expressions
With four distinct seat options, Forma Chair offers quiet versatility. An unupholstered version highlights the chair’s pure form, while three upholstered options introduce a softer expression.
The upholstered seat pad is mounted on molded plywood and available in a curated selection of sustainable and traceable materials.
SPOOR Leather – This premium, Nordic leather is fully traceable back to the individual animal, with verified data on animal welfare, climate impact, and CSR compliance.
Leap® – A vegan, next-gen leather alternative made from 91% USDA-certified biobased apple waste, providing a beautiful, eco-conscious choice.
Kvadrat Wool – Featuring Vanir 0243.
All TAKT furniture with upholstery is certified with the EU Ecolabel, ensuring strict environmental standards across materials and production.
The woodwork
The Forma Chair frame is made from solid oak and molded veneer: a durable material with a natural weight that lends authority to the design. Our products are FSC®-certified. FSC®-certified forests are given time to naturally regenerate, local wildlife is sustained and worker conditions are balanced. Oak has a characteristic structure which gives a beautiful texture and a familiar tangibility to the surface. The surface is treated with natural white-pigmented water-based lacquer.
