Say hello to
Cross Chair Tube
& Cross Table
With the launch of TAKT in April 2019 it was essential to deliver high-quality design with an uncompromising approach to sustainability at radically fair prices – shipped directly to customers around the world. In the launch, the new Cross Chair played an instrumental role – an easy-to-assemble flatpack take on the archetypal side chair designed by Pearson Lloyd.
TAKT now expands the Cross Collection with two new TAKT products: Cross Chair Tube and Cross Table – created in the same spirit as the groundbreaking Cross Chair by Pearson Lloyd.
Same family but different
Cross Chair Tube shares the same lightweight visual language and assembly method with its predecessor, Cross Chair, but is materially distinct. Where Cross Chair features a frame of solid oak, Cross Chair Tube incorporates a frame made of recyclable high-pressure steel with a sturdy black powder coating that adds a graphic and elegant expression
Lightweight and slender
Cross Chair Tube’s lightweight tubular steel is made from recycled steel and the black powder-coating ensures a highly resistant and flexible finish. It introduces a material contrast to the oak wood of the backrest and seat, and it creates a more slender and lightweight silhouette without sacrificing strength. Furthermore, the use of a metal frame allows multiple chairs to be stacked easily for storage.
With three finishes; natural oak, smoked oak and black, and the option to customise with a variety of Kvadrat wool fabrics and aniline leathers, your chair will have 42 options to naturally fit with your needs and personal style. A non-upholstered version appears sleek and clean. A Cross Chair Tube in smoked oak with a Dunes leather finish will appear more luxurious. All fabrics are of course EU Ecolabelled and leathers have received the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
A compact table with convincing details
Cross Table is a highly requested addition to the Cross collection. It naturally transfers the same design concept to the classic typology of the Danish dining table – and a suitable size of an elegant café table.
Simple and elegant
Cross Table represents a functional, simple and elegant form. Legs placed at the extreme corners of the table maximise the space underneath. A practical construction executed with a high understanding for craftsmanship. Several tables can be placed side by side if a larger table top is needed.
